SAD DROWNING FATALITY.
A sad drowning fatality occurred at the Beach last night, when Albert Edward, the seven-year-old son of our esteemed townsman, Mr M. H. Walker, lost his life. It appears that the little fellow was playing at about 6 p.m. in a boat moored in shallow water, almost opposite his father’s cottage. As he did not put in an appearance for tea, a search was made for him in the neighborhood, which continued for some time without success. Tht thought that the child was drowned never entered the heads ot those concerned, as the water was so shallow where the boat, in which he had been playing, lay moored. About 9 o'clock the body was found just covered with water, near the boat. An inquest will be held this afternoon. The news of the fatality cast quite a gloom over the seaside, and also in Foxtou, In common with others, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing parents and brothers and sisters iu their bereavement.
