FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

A meeting of the ■committee of the Foxton Athletic Club was held in Mr Perreau’s rooms on Tuesday evening for the purpose of squaring up accounts in connection with the recent gaslight sports. There were present: Dr. Adams (President;, Messrs Gordon, Boyes, Ball, Baker, Martin, Desmond and Whibley (Secretary). Messrs Dr. Adams and Ball submitted a statement of the receipts and expenditure in connection with the meeting, which showed a credit balance of £3 i os. The receipts totalled £6l 13s 13d being made up of 30 guarantors each gate receipts 8s 3d, nominations and acceptances £ll ss, donation from Mr Peter Robinson £l. The expenditure amounted to £SB 3s 3d made up as follows : Prize money lighting £l2 1 os, gatekeepers £l, printing and advertising, £2 14s gd, sundries £1 xßs 9d. The balance sheet was adopted. The Secretary was instructed to write to the guarantors thanking them for their assistance and also to Messrs Fowler and Gordon and the Palmerston Motor and Cycle Co., for their gift of a bicycle for road race and to Mr Munro for trophy
