MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
The monthly meeting; of the Moutoa Drainage Board was held in the Board's office last night. Present: Messrs B. G- Govver (chairman), W. S. Carter, K. S. Easton and O. R. Robinson. The Clerk reported the amount to credit of the general account at 9s iod and the loan account at ;£ioo 4s Bd. Since last meeting the sum of ,£l3 13s 7d has been received on account of general rates and placed to credit, leaving outstanding 3s id. Wages amounting to 13s had been paid since last meeting. Correspondence was read from Mr Ward, the Board's engineer, advising that the Preestman grab was now in Wellington and that he was writing to the General Manager of Railways asking that the rent of same be fixed as soon as possible. One application was received for the position of dredge driver and the appointment of same was left in the hands of the Chair man.
Accounts amounting to £9 12s 8d were passed for payment against loan account and £6 5s against general account.
