Copenhagen, Dec, 5. Obituary : Princess Waldemar. Prince Waldemar and his three sons were touring India, and intended to proceed to Siam. They have now returned to Colombo, on their way homewards. Ottawa, Dec. 3. The Canadian Parliament has ratified a supplementary commercial treaty with France. It is designed to satisfy the objections of French agriculturists. Provision is made lor its cancellation upon a year’s notice, enabling the Dominion to enter a system of Imperial preference when such is considered necessary. Cetinje, Dec. 3. Lieut, Gijkovies and four companions. were shot for high treason at Cetinje. The Servian Press violently condemned this action by Montenegro. Berlin, Dec. 3. Five hundred and forty-seven inmates of the Friedrichsberg Lunatic Asylum at Hamburg were poisoned. Two are dead and 86 are in a serious condition. The cause of the poisoning remains so far a mystery. Ottawa, Dec. 5. In the Canadian House of Commons Mr Foster raised a debate upon the United States having seven warships on the Great Lakes in violation of the treaty of 1817. Canada, said Mr Foster, was at the mercy of this formidable force.
