CATHOLIC BAZAAR.

The above successful function was well attended again on Saturday night, and good business was transacted. During the. evening Dr. Adams presented Mr Felton, the winner of the sculling event, with a magnificent ; silver cup. The Bazaar Committee express themselves as very well pleased with the results which were far above expectations. They desire to thank the local people for their attendance, and also all those who assisted to make the affair such a success. A number of raffles were got off as follows: —Rose panel mirror, Master Hynes; water lily mirror, M. Duggan; sideboard, Mr F. Howie; fire screen, J. O'Reilly ; relief carved table, W. Bowe; carved occasional table, Mr H. Reid (581); panel painting, Mrs Bowe; table cover, Mr Thynne ; wardrobe, Mr Messena (2817): double oval mirror and picture, Mrs F. May, 1807; deer mirror, Mrs Moynihan (204). A most enjoyable social was held in the Public Hall last evening, as a wind-up to the Catholic Bazaar; Although the. weather is a little warm for dancing, everyone seemed to enjoy it tb the utmost. Miss Kate Spelman officiated at the piano, and .extras were played by Mrs Davis, Miss E. Reeves, Mrs Reeves, Miss Neylon, and Mr F. Howie, During the evening Mr Stan Reeve ccntributed a song. Messrs Curtis and Howie acted as M’s.C,'The committee desire to thank- Mesdames Hooker and S. Wright, also Messrs Howie and Golder. At an interval between the dances a large hand-painted mirror was raffled, the winner being Miss McNaught, of Shannon.
