A “ MAGNETIC HEALER.” Nelson, Nov. 23. The hearing of a shocking case was commenced to-day before Mr Evans, S.M. A middle-aged man named William Henry Joseph Kingston, is being charged with indecently assaulting a young woman. It appears that the man posed as a magnetic healer, and the girl had been under his treatment. Prosecutrix stated that Kingston told her she was • suffering from appendicitis and other ailments, for which he subjected her to a form of massage. He acquired great influence over her, which she was powerless to resist. She further alleged that accused, who is a married man with three children, proposed marriage to her, saying that his wife would not live long. He also treated her sister Dr. Gibbs stated that he had examined the girl and found her to be strong and healthy, and free from any organic trouble, past or present. The case is likely to last some days-
