HOMICIDAL MANIA.
SON ATTACKS HIS MOTHER.
Christchurch, Nov. 13
A young man named, Charles Brown, residing with his mother in Springfield road, at an early hour this morning, suddenly developed homicidal mania, and attacked his mother with a carving knife in a violent and determined manner.
An elder brother was present and saved his mother from being seriously injured. The police were sent for and Brown fled.
The police are searching for him.
