A RARE MALADY.
Thames, Oct. 30
A rare case, wherein the patient (who succumbed) had been suffering from leucocythemia, was recently treated at the local hospital. The sufferer was a male. He experienced great pain, and the disease presented many strange symptoms. Towards the end the man lost, in turn, the power of hearing, sight and speech. The disease is very rare, it being stated that the case is the sixth known to medical science. Though the disease has been known for many years, apparently no means have been discovered of permanently arresting its progress.
