SCHOOL CONCERT.
At the meeting ot householders prior to the last school committee election, a recommendation was made to the incoming committee to have the school grounds fenced, improved and beautified. The meeting endorsed this recoramen-
dation. The present committee, accompanied by a member of the Board, lost no time in deciding upon the nature ot improvements. Then the question of finance cropped up and it was decided to hold a monster bazaar and ask the
Board to supplement the comS mittee’s effort with a grant. The bazaar movement was not taken up enthusiastically but the headmaster came to the rescue by consenting, with the aid of the staff and scholars, to get up a concert in order “to raise the needful.” The date of the concert has been fixed for the 16th and 17th of this month and it only now remains for the public to do its part by patronising the concert to enable the committee to carry out the suggested ' improvements, thereby making the Foxton School grounds attractive-looking. If any public-spirited individual would like to give something extra towards this very laudable object, the Chairman will be pleased to receive and acknowledge such donations. Anyhow, don’t forget the concert on the —46th and 17th insts. because its going to be a record-breaking school concert.
