THE SCULLING HANDICAP.
The following officials have been appointed in connection with the big sculling handicap, on the Manawatn, early in December ■ Judge, Dr. O’Brien (Palmerston N.) ; umpire, Wm, Beach, exretired world’s champion (Sydney); handicapper, Mr John Blackburn (Sydney); starter, Mr Chas, O'Connor (Auckland). The entries close at Sydney and Foxton on Thursday next, 21st iust. It js proposed to join with Wanganui in covering the expenses incurred by the scullers to and from Sydney.
