BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Treasurer reported at last night’s Borough Council meeting that since the last monthly meeting the sum of 7s gd had been banked and the amount to the credit of the District Fund Account was £289 19s Bd.

The balances of the various spearate accounts were as follows : —General account, 8s qd ; cemetery account, 2s ; sanitation account, £2 12s 2d; and interest account 18s id in credit. Library account, 6s 2d and reserves account 13s lid debit. The rates are coming in very slowly and he anticipated the early issue of a larger number of summonses this year than formerly.
