THROWN TO THE LIONS.

London, October 10

The Daily Mail’s Fez correspondent says that the Pretender Bu Humara was not shot as was previously reported. A more terrible fate was reserved for him. His feet were chained and he was thrown into a garden where three starved lions were confined. He tried to climb a tree, but a lioness tore off his left arm. The soldiers then stabbed Bu Humara in the breast a dozen times. The lions, returning, toyed with the body as cats do with a mouse.

The Sultan and his court watched the torture from the window of the palace.
