OPENING OF PARLIAMENT.

Parliament will be opened at 2.30 p m. on Thursday with the usual formalities. The ceremony will be performed by his Excellency the Governor. It is understood that the Government has its plans completed, and that little or no delay will take place. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr W. F. Massey, will arrive from Auckland on Wednesday evening. Several members have already reached Wellington for the session.
