THE ENGLISHMAN'S HOME.

WEDNESDAY NEXT

Is England on the verge of war? That is the question that has been on everybody’s lips for some time, owing to the naval crisis existing between Germany and England. Under the direction of the Imperial War Office, a splendid series of biograph films have been prepared relating to. this vital question, called “The Englishman’s Home,” also the great war drama, “An Englishman’s Home.” The films have aroused intense enthusiasm throughout England for their vivid exhibition of “ Things .as they are,” and “As they might be” in the event of an invasion by the German navy and army. They will be exhibited for the first time in the Dominion in Foxton next Wednesday, September 29th, by the Operascope Entertainers. Brilliant tableaux are also introduced in this programme. The series of sensational war films are highly commended by the Home and Australian papers. The Daily Telegraph says:— “The war films caused an enormous sensation in London, depicting the British Lion with his teeth bared, and his claws extended.”

Sydney Morning Herald says : “ They form one of the most realistic pictorial actions possible.”

The Sun says:—‘‘The vivid realism of the films caused the greatest excitement.” The Times says :—“Of far away more than ordinary interest.” Most attractive items are rendered during the interludes of the programmes, and the greatest novelties of scenery, industry, art, drama, comedy, direct from the world’s greatest studios. Absolutely new to Foxton. Family prices for admission have been fixed in harmony with the times.
