FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee of the Fox ton Athletic Club was held in Mr Perreau’s rooms, last night. Present; Dr Adams (chairman), Messrs Perreau, Gordon, Ball, Martin, Wynd, Robinson, Baker, Hadfield, Irarie and Whibley (secretary). Correspondence was read from the secretary of the Friendly Societies Council, asking for the use of the Club’s gear on New Year’s Day. —It was decided that same be placed at their disposal, provided it is returned in good order.
The Secretary of the Feildiug central of the New Zealand Athletic Union notified that the annual meeting of delegates would be held at Feildiug, on the 24th inst., and It was decided to ask Mr J. Collingwood to represent the Foxton Club. The motion, of which notice had been given at last meeting, to the effect that any member of the committee absent from three consecutive meetings without reasonable excuse, forfeit his seat on the committee was put to the meeting, and carried. Messrs .Robinson, Martin and Wynd were appointed a Ground Committee to attend to all necessary repairs to track.
