The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows: Hemp market quiet, but steady ; transactions are light; N.Z. good fair grade on spot per ton is quoted at £25 15s ; fair grade on spot per ton £24 15s; fair current Manila on spot per ton £24 10s; October-December shipments, N,Z. good fair grade per ton £25 10s; N.Z. fair grade per ton, £24 10s ; fair current Manila, per ton, £23 1 os; Manila output, 24,000 bales.
