TAYLOR-CARRINGTON COMPANY.
TO-NIGHT,
In our amusement column Mr Charlie Taylor and Miss EUa Carrington announce their re-ap-pearance here in drama this evening, when, assisted by a large and efficient dramatic company they will produce the successful Irish play, “Home Rule, or the Irish Gossoon.’’ When the Taylor-Car-rington management forsook the drama for the more profitable but, less congenial moving picture business, they left a void in our provincial amusement very difficult to fill; for being a residental management they were in a position to present very excellent dramatic performances at much cheaper admission rates than visiting managements could, when hampered by the heavy expenses consequent upon carrying their companies and mated il to and from New Zealand. So local playgoers will learn with pleasure that they will now have the opportunity of enjoying their favourite amusement at prices so reasonable as to place it within the leach of all and enable families to attend en masse.
