MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.
MONTHLY MEETING.
The regular meeting of the above was held yesterday. Present : Messrs J. G. Wilson (chairman), Masters, McKenzie, Barber, Dalton, Henson and Kendall. Correspondence was read as follows :
From Foxton Borough Council forwarding statement of expenditure in connection with licensing, totalling 2S, including £6O 3s 6d, cost of election. The cost was divided as follows: Foxton Borough Council, fees Al6O and expenses £2g 6s gd ; Marton Borough Council, £25 13s sd; Bulls Town Board, Board, 13s 3d ; Manawatu County Council, —£g 3s 4d ; Raugitikei County Council, £2s —^4iisßd. From Bulls Town Board, stating that at a meeting of ratepayers of Rangitikei ard the Bulls Town District, a resolution in favour of the extension of the tram to Bulls, as a first step in the connection with the railway at Marton or Greatford, was passed, and the local authorities urged to carry out the work. From Elizabeth Coley, directing attention to the necessity of improving the road near her home at Moutoa. From the Rangitikei County Council, offering to submit a proposal to the ratepayers of the Rangitoto riding re the extension ot the tram to Bulls, if the proportions were distributed as follows : Manawatu £2 , Foxton /a, Bulls Rangitoto 2-8,
