SUFFRAGETTES’ APPEAL.
London, September 3. Mr Curtis Bennett, the Magistrate at the Bow Street Police Court, fined Mrs Despard and seven other Suffragettes charged with creating a disturbance in attempting to present a petition to the Prime Minister 30 shillings each. His Worship agreed to state a case for appeal, in order to test the question of the Suffragettes’ right to present petitions to the Prime Minister,
