FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

A meeting of the Committee of the above Club was held in Mr Perreau’s rooms last night. Present : Messrs Healey (chairman), Boyes, Gordon, Fowler, Wynd, Robinson, Martin, Ball, Gillies, Dr. Adams and F. D. Whibley (secretary). The Sub-Committee appointed to draw up a programme for the 9th of November, submitted one practically the same as that of last year, which was adopted.

It was decided to write to the Borough Council, asking them to erect a dressing-shed to replace the one destroyed by fire, and also to effect a few necessary repairs to the cycle track. The Sub-Committee appointed at the last meeting of the Committee to make enquiries as to the cost of lighting the Park, submitted a report, and it was decided that the matter be held over for another week, to enable the Committee to obtain further information.

The following notice of motion was handed in : “That any member of the Committee absent from three consecutive meetings, without forwarding an apology for absence, forfeit his seat as a member of the Committee. ’ ’

The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr Phil Walsh, thanking him for his assistance in connection with the Dramatic Society.
