It is stated that arrangements are being made whereby Sir Joseph Ward will be enabled to complete his homeward journey from Fiji byH.M.S. Challenger. Hokitika, Saturday.

The Westland County Council yesterday resolved that with a view of according the Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward an official welcome on his return to the Dominion from the Imperial Defence Conference, the Mayors and County Chairmen of the West Coast be invited to visit Wellington on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s return to join in the public reception to be accorded the right hon. gentleman.
