FOOTBALL.
The final match for the Coley Cup between Rongotea and Awahou, has been fixed to be played on the local racecourse on Saturday. At Wellington yesterday the South Island team defeated the North Island by 19 points to rx. The Hasting Sub-Union representatives defeated Poverty Bay at Napier on Tuesday by 11 points to 6. On Saturday, the Auckland - Wellington representative fixture will be played at Wellington.
The following team has been chosen to represent Horowhenua against Manawatu at Palmerston on Saturday :—Anderson, Cook, N. Winiata, Rawiri, Coote, M. Winiata, Cordelia, King, Sciascia, Wilson, Ropata, Douglas, W. Winiata, Horokarsuti, George. Etner., Timms.
