DEATH OF MR REMINGTON.

MEMBER FOR RANGITIKEI

The news of the death of Mr A. E. Remington, member for Rangitikei, vfhich took place at 3 a.m. to-day will be received throughout this and his own electorate with feelings of regret. It was only a short time since that Mr Remington had the misfortune to lose his wife. Then the strenuous fight and worry of the recent general election made inroads upon his health, and he went to Australia in order to recuperate. But since his return his health has been very indifferent and a few weeks ago he was confined to bis room in Wellington and despite the best that medical aid and careful nursing could devise, he passed away as stated above, to that bourne from whence no traveller returns. The late Mr Remington represented his constituency in Parliament as a member of the Liberal Government.
