ARNST’S COMBINATION.
TO-MORROW NIGHT.
Arnst’s athletic combination and picture show is to open at the Public Hall to-morrow night. The entertainment consists of exhibitions of sculling in a “ homesculler ” by the world’s champion, Dick Arnst, of whose powers and physical development a good idea can thus be obtained. W. Fogwell competes against the champion in this. Another athletic feature is a bicycle contest on “home trainer” bicycles between Jack Arnst and W. Fogwell. A prize of is offered to any who will race Jack five miles on the “ home trainer.” The machines, though stationary, are fitted with the distance recording meters, enabling the time and distance to be checked. Mr Brown Parker, a wonderfully expert “ ball puncher,” will give an exhibition. The entertainment will be made complete by the screening of the latest biograph production —the Arnst-Webb boat race as rowed at Wanganui, 22nd June last. Exchanges speak highly of this picture. The champion will lecture on the race. Over 7000 feet of dramatic, scenic and humourous subjects will be shown on the cinematograph.
