TOWN CLERKS REPORT.

The Town Clerk reported at Monday’s meeting of the Borough Council that 198 yards of Ashhurst metal had come to band and had been spread as follows :—, Ravensworth Place lyiddell Street 94^yds and Gladstone Street 21yds. The day me n have fixed kerbing at the corners of Park and Robinson Streets, Park and Thynne Streets and Union and Johnston Streets. The old triangle at the south end of Main Street has been metalled and water holes in Union Street filled in. The drain pipes for Heta Street crossing came to band and have been placed in position. The pipe crossing at Speirs’ timber yard has given way and the water channel is blocked. Mr Speirs intends replacing it with an iron pipe as early as possible.
