PRESENTATION TO REV. P. J. MAIRS.

At Moutoa on Tuesday last, at the residence of Mr T. Coker, the Rev. P. J. Mairs, on the occasion of his marriage, was the recipient, from members of the Methodist Church, of a very handsome easy chair and a purse of sovereigns. The presentation was made by Mr G. H. Stiles, who referred to the good work done by Mr Mairs on the circuit, and also conveying to him the good wishes of the congregation, and the hope that his married life would be a very happy, one. The Rev. P. W. Jones, in a very appropriate speech, proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, and Messrs M. Walker and A. Saunders also spoke. The Rev; Mr Mairs, in a feeling speech, expressed his thanks for all the good things that had been said, and hoped to do better work in the future than he had done in the past.
