HEMP MARKET,
The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows: — Hemp market quiet but firm. It is reported there is enquiry for forward shipments. New Zealand good fair on spot is quoted at 15s peri ton; New Zealand fair grade on spot, £22 15s ; forward shipment at same prices. Fair current Manila on spot, ,£23 ids forward; shipment, fair current Manila, X 23 P er ton * Manila output 18,000 bales.
