MEETING RE BAZAAR. The public meeting called by the school committee on Thursday, evening to discuss the holding of a bazaar tor the purpose of carrying out improvements to the local school grounds, was poorly attended. The Chairman of the school committee presided. It was explained that the coMmittee desired to effect much needed improvements and had decided that' a bazaar would be the best means to raise funds for the object. The subject was discussed at •consider-; able M|kth.”On the motion of the ReylrSt'Aitkeu, seconded by Mr i Henderson, the following resolution was carried :/■ That this meeting endorses the proposal of the committee to hold a bazaar in October for the purpose of ’ raising/ funds to carry out necessary im-> provements to the school grounds.’ An amendment that a series of concerts be held-was subsequently withdrawn. —It was decided to invite all ladies willing to render assistance to meet in the old school house on Wednesday afternoon next to discuss details. The Chairman consented to personally inters view a number of ladies on the subject whose names were submitted to the meeting.-—lt was decided to report progress at the ordinary meeting of the committee to be held next Thursday .
