PASTEL PAINTING.
Mrs Brennan, an artist of repute from Auckland, has decided to commence' classes 1 for pastel painting in the ola school-house, Foxton, as from Monday next. She is a very successful teacher of this interesting art, the ground work of which she imparts in six lessons, and a large number of pupils have passed through her hands in other parts of the Do- , minion. One North Island paper, remarking on a public exhibition of work from one of Mrs Brennan’s classes, says: “It is incredible that such success could be achieved in so short a time.” The opportunity of acquiring the accomplishment will no doubt be availed of by many ladies and gentlemen and young people locally. Specimens of Mrs Brennan’s work may be inspected, in Mr Hennessy’s shop window. We have inspected niynbers of glowtestimonials from pupils respecting Mrs Brennan’s ability as an instructress in this fascinating art.
