SUFFRAGETTES.
London, June 30.
, Three thousand police were on duty at Westminster yesterday to cope with the Suffragettes in their raid on the House of Commons. A constable’s horse was stabbed.
The newspapers censure the Suffragettes’ vulgar aind violent methods.
The Standard urges Mr Asquith and Mr Balfour, the leaders of both sides of the House, to make it dear that the question of women’s £puffrage will not be considered as long as such methods continue.
