SOCIAL.
A very successful social was held in the Masonic Hall last night, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Young Ladies Guild, Tha object of the social was to raisa funds for the purpose of laying down a tennis court for the use of members and their •„ friends. The Rev Mr Aitkin presided and there was a very fair attendance. A very appreciative programme of vocal and instrumental items was sub* mitted. The following contributed items Mesdames Rae-Howardl, Symons, Patterson, Misses Furrie, Speirs, Deane, Doull, Aitkeri| Symons and Messrs Betty, H, Claris, Rev Mr Doull, McKenzie and Horn blow. Refreshments were supplied by the young ladiest. The wish was expressed that another social should be held at an early date.
