FOOTBALL.
The senior fixture tor Saturday is Awahou v. Rongotea, and will be played at Rongotea. The Awahou team will leave by coach, at 12.30 o’clock. In order to keep in form for the match with Awahou on Saturday week, the Albion seniors are arranging a match against “All Comers,” to be played on the racecourse on Saturday. A collection will be taken up at the gate, which will be handed over to the Palmerston Hospital.
Negotiations are proceeding in Sydney to bring out a strong Welsh Rugby team next season.
The New Zealand Football team (Northern Union rules) beat Queensland yesterday by 27 points to 19.
