FOOTBALL.
The senior fixture set down for decision on the racecourse on Saturday is Rongotea v. Albion. Dr Adams will referee.
The question of the Foxton SubUnion’s boundaries, which had been held over from the previous meeting of the Manawatu Union’s Management Committee, on account of a map of the County not being available, was again brought before that body on Tuesday night. It was decided that the matter be left in the hands of the president (Mr Pirani), and that his recommendations be submitted to the next meeting of the committee. It appears from the above that the Manawatu Union is run by one mao the president. The Management Committee met on Tuesday night and disposed of all the minor business, but when the most important question to be dealt with was brought forward, it was decided to leave it to one man—and that one, the most interested member on the committee, because if the boundaries are approved it will mean that three prominent members of the club that he represents (Feilding) will be forced to play in the Foxton competitions. The Manawatu Union has had this question under consideration for almost the whole of the season, and is now no further advanced than they were at the commencement. Fancy calling this body a Management' Committee. Mismanagement would be far more suitable.
The following team will represent the Albion juniors against Awahou on Saturday:— Reeve, .Rimmer, Walker, Withers (2), Hooker, Rihea, Weipahana, Osborne, Currie, Martin, James, Burns, Collins, Walden, Rahiha, and Webb.
