THE SNEAK-THIEF.

■ ♦- The contemptible sneak-thief still makes his presence felt at the public reading room by purloining magazines- and weekly journals, and mutilating same by clipping from them. Not content with the privileges conferred, a comfortable well-lighted and ventilated room, up-to-date literature without cost, it is incomprehensible how a person can so far forget himself as to act in such an ungrateful manner. It is hoped the committee will find means whereby such perverts can be brought to book. We would suggest to those who do appreciate the benefits of the reading room that they assist the librarian by keeping a wary look-out for offenders.
