FOOTBALL.
The seuior and junior competitions controlled by the Foxtou Sub-Union commence on Saturday. In the seuior competition the Awahon and Rongotea teams meet at Rongotea. Mr C- H. Bowater will referee. The junior match is between the two local teams (Awahou and A'bion), and will be played on the racecourse. Mr J. Desmond will have charge of the whistle. The Awahou team for Saturday will consist of the following : Senior —W. Hooker, H. Osboldstone, J. Reid, F. Davis, A. Bird, W. Andresen, L- Carter, West, J. Joe, R. Jeffries, E. Saville, P. Reihaua, F. Robinson, R. Green, G. Heaton, J. Cargill; emergencies : (forwards) C. Webb and J. Coley, (backs) Marsh, S. Wauklyn, F. Withers. The junior team will be picked from the following:—P. Coley, L. Alzdorf, W. Spelmau, A. Lee, W. Neville, J. Walden, C. Wauklyn, J. Jillett, S. Mansell, W. Gibson, M. Cunninghame, D. Webb, W. Lee, F. Hooker, E. Rowe, D. Mclntyre, Howie, H. Brovin, B. Hooker. The team to represent the Albion Juniors will be selected from the following:—Joe, Walker (2), Reeve (2)* Napier, Hooker (2), Withers, Weihepehana, Martin, Walden, Cummerfield, Gunner, Currie, Dunn, Webb, Coley, Collins, Rahihi.
