Sydney, April 22. A series of crimes has been brought to light in Noumea (capital of New Caledonia) by the trial of a number of persons for the murder of three men iu the nickel district. Two of the three murdered meu, Pouembout and Koue, were shot, while their grass huts were set on fire. The third man was shot on the road. The object ot the crimes was to get possession of the victims’ money, Teheran, April 21. Desperate fighting has taken place in the suburbs of Tabriz, the Nationalist stronghold which is being besieged by the Shah’s troops. The Nationalists have already lost 60 killed.
