AMERICAN SCHOONER SEIZED.
Ottawa, April 22. Midway between East and West Haycock Islands, which are only five miles away, the British cruiser Kestrel seized the American schooner Charles Levi Woodbury, which was fishing for halibut on the ground that she was trespassing. Three rounds were fired for the purposes of scaring the Americans, and a fourth round ripped the mainsail before the schooner surrendered.
