FOOTBALL.
ALBION’S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Albion Football Club was held in Mr Bird’s Hotel last night. There was a fair attendance of members. The annual balance sheet, showing a small debit, was read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year.— Patron, Mr O. Robinson ; president, Mr C. E- Bird ; vice-presi-dents. Messrs F. W. Frank-land, J. Stevens, B. G. Gower, G. H, Stiles, E. Newman, E. Healey, J. K. Hornblow, L- W. Wilson, M. Walker, W. Bock, H. Coley, A. Shadbolt, Baillie, M. E. Perreau
and Dr. Adams; captain, Mr P. Bird ; vice-captain, Mr J. Fraukland ; secretary, Mr P. T. Robinson ; delegates to sub-Union, Messrs Cook, Bird and Whibley ; selection committee, Messrs Robinson, Cook, Charles and Bird.
The subscription was again fixed at ss. •
A letter was received from the secretary of the Polhdl Club, Wellington, asking for a game on Saturday.—lt was decided to arrange the match and Messrs Cook and Robinson were appointed to select a team. Other minor matters were discussed and the meeting terminated.
The following team has been chosen to represent the Albions in their match with the Polhill Club to be played on the racecourse on Saturday:—F ull-back Osboldstone, yi Withers, W. Cook (capt.) and J. Frankland, yi E. Walker, G. Robinson, forwards Martin, A. Cook, J. Walker, A. Withers, Whibley, J. Walden, Alzdorf, A. Rimmer and Cummerfield. Emer„ Moses, R. Rimmer, Rahai, Tawa, and Schultz.
The annual general meeting of the Awahou Football Club is advertised to take place in Mr W. Hamer’s rooms on Thursday, the Bth inst., at 8 p.m. Business: Report and balance-sheet, election of officers, and general. Members and intending members are requested to be present.
