HEMP MARKET. A SLIGHT RISE. The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows : Hemp market is quiet, but rather steadier ; stock 210 tons* Spot, good fair, 5s ; fair, £2l 10s ; fair current Manila, £23 ; April-June shipments good fair, £23 ; fair, .£2l ; fair current Manila £ 2l. Last week’s Manila output 22,000 bales.
