MONEY LENDERS ACT.

Christchurch, March 4. Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., to-day, in a case under the Money Lenders’ Act, disallowed certain charges made by the lender totalling is 6d, which he held to be harsh and unconscionable. These were portions of charges in respect to an advance of which was repaid within three months of the date of advance. The total amount repaid (including above-mentioned dissallowed charges)-was ,£351.
