Melbourne, March 5

An employee at Lamb’s store at Murton reports- that while in charge of the premises alone in the dinner hour two men entered. One presenting a revolver, ordered him to bail up. He knocked the intruder down. The thieves, after firing two harmless shots and binding and gagging the employee, ransacked the safe and secured about They then escaped. The police are investigating the matter. Brisbane, March 4. While at work in the Queensland National Bank at Forest Hill last night the manager, Mr McCallum, and the accountant, Mr Stevens, were shot at through the window. Neither was shot. The police have arrested a young man, an ex-employee of the Bank, on suspicion.
