HEMP INDUSTRY.

CONFERENCE OF MILLERS AND EMPLOYEES.

A conference of millers and employees, arranged by the President of the N. Z. Flaxmillers Association, was held in the Good Templar Hall on Saturday afternoon. The Association was represented by Messrs H, Greig, E. L. Broad, Jas. Tenuaut and P. Sim. The employees were represented by Mr P, T. Robinson, secretary of Employees Union, and five others. The proceedings were not open to the press, and lasted about half-an-hour. We understand that the Union’s delegates will report certain suggestions made by the employers to a meeting of the Union to be held this week.
