FOXTON RACING CLUB.

MEETING OF STEWARDS,

A meeting of the above stewards was held in the club’s offices last night. Present: —Messrs W. E. Barber (chair), O. Robinson, F. E. Jenks, C. Hunt, W. Howan, A. and J. Symons and the Secretary (A. Keith). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was decided to refund the nomination fee to the owner of Mountain Melody, owing to an accident which befell the horse. Accounts amounting to is 3d were passed for payment. A lengthy discussion took place in reference to the desirability of holding a winter meeting. It was finally resolved, on the motion of Messrs J. Symons and Jenks, that an application be made to the Racing Conference for an extra totalisator permit for a winter meeting. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
