MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
A meeting of the above Board was held. on Friday, sth inst. Present: Messrs B. G. Gower (Chairman), W. E. Barber, J. Symons and F. S. Easton. An apology was received for the absence of Mr Hammond. After the confirmation of minutes, the clerk reported the credit to general account at £1 7s xxd, and loan account ,£142 2s 3d. Wages accounts amounting to £26 3s gd were passed against loan account, and sundry accounts £xß 3s 7d against general account. The clerk was instructed to apply tor a further advance of on account of loan.
It was decided to pay men’s wages fortnightly, and to hold regular monthly meetings every Friday from date of meeting, at 8 p.m., until further notice. The work of pile-driving for flood gates,, and scooping was reported as progressing satisfactorily. After further formal business was transacted the meeting terminated.
