Melbourne, January 21

An inqiust was held yesterday on the body of the schoolbo> Bridges, aged 12, who deliberately placed his head on the line in front of an advancing engine at Elsleruwick and was decapitated. Evidence was given that he had quarrelled with his sister, aud told her that she would not see him any more.

. The Coroner expressed the opinion that the boy, wishing to see the train rush by, ran down a steep embankment and thus met with his death.

’ A verdict of a:cidental death was returned.
