Chief Justice Darley has been given twelve months’ leave of absence, prior to retirement. Mr Justice Simpson has been appointed Acting: Chief Justice. The hearing of the charges against Tom Maun End twentyseven others of causing a riot at Broken Hill has commenced.
Before being admitted to bail, Mann had to give an undertaking that he would not participate in processions, address meetings, or in any way concern -himself with the mining dispute, till after Wednesday week.
