THE BEACH.

On Thursday evening the large room in Mr Wilson’s house was packed to overflowing for the service taken by the Rev. G. Y. Woodward. Miss Woods, who at present occupies the house, willingly lent the room, and did all she could to accommodate the people. About sixty people were able to sit in the room; many being unable to enter, joined in the service from without. The singing went with great enthusiasm, Miss Bell very kindly acting as organist. At the close of the service a collection was taken, to be devoted towards the building of the new church. The vicar will hold a weekly evening) service, and he hopes the same religious enthusiasm will continue through the season.
