CRICKET.
The first round of the competition for tbe Austin Shield has been played, the position of the Clubs now being Himatangi 4 points, Foxton 2 points, Debaters 0. The second round will be commenced to-morrow, Foxton and Debaters having been drawn to meet on the local pitch, the match to commence at 2 p.m. The Foxton Club will be represented by the following: Baillie, Nye, Robinson, Whibley, Watson, Bird, Puti, Cook, Martin, Meadows and Spiers. Emergencies : Dunn and Dobson.
The following will represent th e Debaters iu their match with th e Foxton Club to-morrow alternoou at Victoria Park: J. Bowe, WBowe, Death, Campbell, YoungStiles, Hoult, Woods, Betty, Edliu, Littlejohn and A. McCall; emerg. : A. Walden.
