Christchurch, Jan. 5
George Frederick Betteridge, aged 60 years, bricklayer, died suddenly this morning at Sydenham.
Bluff, January 4.
A fisherman named George Thomas, aged 30, a native of Wales, was found drowned in the harbour on Sunday morning. It is presumed that he fell overboard while getting aboard his cutter. At the inquest this morning a verdict of found drowned was returned.
