GARROTTED.

Body Identified.

Wellington, Yesterday.

The body ot the man found dead in the city last Sunday week, has been identified as that of a man named McCormack, lately employed arf a seaman on the Union Company’s training ship Dartford. He arrived in Wellington about a month ago, and was paid off with the rest of the crew. The police are satisfied there is no mistake about the identification, which was made by four men, who were shipmates of the deceased on the Dartford. . Constable Spellman, of Rotorua, is satisfied the body is not that of the man he thought, though there is some resemblance.
